We will start gathering and setting up telescopes at 4:30PM, with stargazing to begin after last light, about 5PM.

? ????? ????? ??? ??????? ?? ??? ?????? from experienced astronomers.
?️ ??????? ??? ?????????????? and identify celestial objects with the help of telescopes.
? ????? ? ????? ?? ??????????? with fellow astronomy enthusiasts.
? ??? ???? ?????????? or bring your own telescope.
This ???? ????? will take place at Huestis Park on Farmer's Mills Road in the Town of Kent, New York and offers a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of the cosmos.
????????? ???? ???? ??? ?????? ??:
???? ?? ??? ????? ??? ? through telescopes provided by MHAA members, who will be on hand to answer questions and point out celestial objects.
????? ? “?????-??? ???? ????” ? led by an MHAA member. Using a green laser pointer, the guide will identify constellations, asterisms, and other fascinating sights visible to the naked eye or with binoculars.
??????? ????????? ??????? like planets?, star clusters?, nebulae, and even distant galaxies.
????? ? ??? ????? ??? ???? ? and why New Moon ? is the best time for star gazing.
?? ????????? ????????? ??:

✅ ???? ? ???? ???????? ??? ???-????? ??????????? ?? ????????? for use during the event (regular, white-light flashlights will disrupt night vision).
✅ ????? ????? ??? ????????? ?? ?????????? (optional).
Please be mindful that we will be observing dim objects in the dark and any standard, white-light flashlight will disrupt our night vision near the telescopes. Please use red-light flashlights only (red light preserves our night vision).
?Cider donuts and apple cider will be provided by the Kent Conservation Foundation.
