IStructE South Eastern Counties Annual Dinner 2026
We are pleased to announce that the IStructE South Eastern Counties Annual Dinner 2026 will be hosted by Francesco Ferrari, Chair of the South Eastern Counties HUB Committee.
Following the success of last year’s unforgettable Chair’s Inaugural Dinner 2025, we are delighted to invite you to join us once again for an exceptional evening on Friday, 15 May 2026.
We are honoured to welcome the IStructE President, Brian Uy, alongside the CEO/Deputy CEO, who will deliver an inspiring keynote address. This special occasion brings together talented and distinguished structural engineers from across the South Eastern Counties (SEC) to celebrate our profession and their achievements.
During the evening, award certificates will be presented to the winners of the IStructE South Eastern Structural Awards 2025. There is still time to submit your project — well-engineered schemes of any size or type can all be winners! This year, the awards have been expanded to cover the wider South East Region, including the Southern, Surrey, and Thames Valley hubs.
We will also proudly recognise outstanding students from the four universities within our territory, celebrating the next generation of structural engineers.
More than just a dinner, this is a unique opportunity to network, reconnect, and build new professional relationships. The SEC Chair and members of the SEC IStructE committee will be on hand throughout the evening to welcome guests and ensure a memorable experience for all
The dinner will be held at the Croydon & District Masonic Hall, Wheeler Room. It is a 3-course meal, with the following menu:
Starters
Freshly made soup of your choice with croutons (veg.)
Platter of Smoked Seafood, a trio of Smoked Salmon, Peppered Mackerel, Smoked Trout with Horseradish Sauce & Granary Bread.
Smoked Chicken Salad with red pepper and basil pesto.
Mains
Roast Guinea Fowl with red wine jus
Grilled Sea Bass served with lemon & herbs.
Cranberry, Brie & Mushroom Wellington. (veg.)
Desert
Chocolate Fondant.
Continental Cheeseboard Selection with celery and grapes.
Hot Apple Lattice Flan with custard or cream
A selection of drinks will be served.
Please note that the cost of the dinner ticket is £25, payable via Eventbrite. This amount covers a portion of the meal cost, with the remainder subsidised by the Institution of Structural Engineers.
