About this Event
The Rwandan Association of Queensland Inc. warmly invites you to join us for the annual commemoration of the Rwandan Genocide 2026.
This event is a time to remember and honour the lives lost during and as a result of the genocide, both within Rwanda and beyond. It is also a moment to reflect, support survivors, and stand united against all forms of hatred, division, and violence.
For Australians of Rwandan background, this commemoration offers a deeply personal space to remember loved ones, acknowledge the pain of displacement, and reflect on the ongoing journey of healing and resilience. It is also an opportunity to share with the broader community how Rwandans are reconciling with the past while settling and thriving in Australia.
Please join us in learning about Rwanda’s remarkable path toward unity and reconciliation—and in reaffirming our collective commitment to ensure that such atrocities never happen again, in Rwanda or anywhere else in the world.
Let us remember. Unite. Renew.
