RWYNM Charity Degree 2026Brethren,
Renfrewshire West Young or New Masons are pleased to announce that, owing to the success of last year’s inaugural Charity Degree, the Executive Committee has agreed to confer a similar event on Saturday, 23rd May 2026, within Lodge Greenock St. John’s No. 175. On this occasion, we will be conferring a Walkthrough of the Fellowcraft Degree, with the lodge to be tyled at 2.00 pm.
Last year’s event proved to be a tremendous success, raising over £1,000 for The Anchor, a local charity supporting individuals living with mental health challenges. Following this, our association has also been invited to take part in a football match between our members and the service users of The Anchor. I am sure you will agree that this is a most worthwhile cause—one which not only provides meaningful support within our community, but also helps to further raise the profile of Freemasonry throughout Inverclyde.
It is our intention to make the fullest use of the young Masonic talent within the Province. Accordingly, young and new Masons from each lodge in Renfrewshire West have been invited to participate in the ceremony.
Following the degree, we will enjoy a harmony featuring a three‑course meal, a raffle, and, of course, an obligatory glass of something cheerful. Tickets for the harmony will be available through your Renfrewshire West Young or New Masons Lodge Representative, or by emailing me directly at [email protected].
Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated—not only in aid of our charitable efforts, but also in support of the next generation of Freemasons in Inverclyde.
Sincerely and Fraternally Yours,
Bro. David James Docherty
Secretary, Renfrewshire West Young or New Masons
