🎉 Save the Date: Club Country BBQ!
Yeeehaw!!! We’re extremely excited to announce our Annual BBQ with Line and Partner Open Dance!
Saturday, March 14, 2026, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
At Lakes Park - 7330 Gladiolus Dr, Fort Myers, FL. We'll be at the Lakes Park Pavilions. Check back near the date for the exact pavilion number.
Need to be a Club Country member to take part. Becoming a member is easy and affordable though! Membership is just $10 for the whole season (September 2025 through May 2026). You can apply in person when checking in at our regular Wednesday events at Riverside Community Center.
We ask that you save your spot with a $5 deposit per member, to be given to Don. We will give you the money back after the BBQ, or you can choose to donate it to Club Country.
A quick note on the deposit: This $5 is non-refundable if you aren't able to attend. It will be used for the Club Country fund to support ballroom rental, pizza party, ice cream social, next season's BBQ, website domain and server, etc.
No lessons that day. Plenty of hours for DJ Mac to play all your requests and to dance until you’re hungry!!!
We’re going to have picnic tables, chairs, a covered "dance floor," a beautiful view of the park, and a fresh breeze. You can bring a camp chair as well to sit around the dance floor and observe 👀 or chat with your fellow Club Country members while you take a rest.
We will provide the delicious BBQ food. In our last BBQ, we served brisket, barbecued ribs, chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, barbecue sauce, and more - all from Pop’Z BBQ Catering.
Last event, our cheerful members brought many delicious desserts they prepared! They also brought veggie sushi to kickstart our appetite. You can tell our members are creative and love to share food! We’ve heard rumors that one or two members are planning on bringing a coffee and tea bar next year… Can’t wait, yall! Water and soda will also be provided. You can bring your own soft drink if you’d like to.
Parking is paid: $1.00 an hour, $5 for all day, or park for free with a Lee County Annual Parking Pass (more info: https://www.leegov.com/parks/resources/parking)
Perhaps skip on those fancy leather sole cowboy boots because the floor is a smooth concrete. Think of rubber sole boots or drop the style for a day and wear your sneakers, cowboys and cowgirls!
