Anne’s Cardinals Hockey to Conquer Cancer
Join us for a fun and inspiring in-person event where hockey meets a great cause! Anne's Cardinals hockey game supports the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and life saving cancer research.
A donation from each player will be graciously accepted via the link below or at the arena on game night. Please RSVP through Eventbrite so we can keep track of numbers. All donations will receive a tax deductible receipt. If you have already donated to Anne's Cardinals this year, additional donations are appreciated but not required - just RSVP and come enjoy the game.
As a thank you, donations of $50 or more will receive a free homemade baked good.
After the game, join us upstairs at Puckz Pub for fun, food, and drinks. There wil also be homemade banana bread, cookies and perogies for sale with all proceeds going to Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
About Anne's Cardinals
Cancer does not arrive quietly, it finds its way into families, friendships and the people we love the most. It does not discriminate and affects us all. This reality became personal for us in 2023 when our Anne was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Her treatment at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre was world class. However in June of 2023 her journey came to an end. We lost a mother, a wife, a sister, an aunty, a best friend and a role model for so many. Anne was special in every way and this absolutely incredible woman had an impact and left a lasting memory on all those she met. That became abundantly clear by the overwhelming response from all of the lives she touched. It was not only her family that felt the immense grief but also her friends and colleagues. The outpouring of emotion emphasized the far reaching impact that cancer has with one simple diagnosis. However, as we know, countless are diagnosed with cancer each and everyday. This daunting reality reminds us how precious life truly is and the critical importance of cancer research for each and every one of us.
Team Anne's Cardinals is once again participating in The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Ride to raise money for life saving cancer research. Please sponsor team Anne’s Cardinals and help make a difference. Together we can reach our fundraising goal and change the outcome for so many.
The Ride is Canada’s largest and most impactful cycling fundraiser and has raised over $320 million for cancer research since its inception.
