Annahstasia arrives in Australia for the first time this February, bringing her soulful, poetic, and deeply intimate songcraft to stages across the country. A singular voice in contemporary folk, she has carved her own path through patience, independence, and a devotion to storytelling - qualities that shape her acclaimed debut album Tether.
Tether is a record built slowly and intentionally, recorded between Dragonfly Creek recording studio and Valentine, in Los Angeles with a community of collaborators including Jason Lader, Andrew Lappin, Aaron Liao, Obongjayar, and aja monet. Across its sweeping arrangements and bare, vulnerable moments, Annahstasia’s voice sits at the centre: rich, resonant, and unguarded. Her songs navigate love in all its forms - the love we find, lose, resist, and rebuild - approached with the nuance of poetry and a quiet, assured power.
In February, Australian audiences will have the chance to experience this world up close. Annahstasia will perform headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Canberra, alongside special appearances at Meeniyan Town Hall, Port Fairy Folk Festival, and WOMADelaide. It marks her long-awaited introduction to Australian stages, and a rare opportunity to witness an artist whose work feels both intimate and expansive.
Onstage, Annahstasia performs with the same instinct and openness that shaped Tether. Her sets move between stillness and swelling emotion, carried by a voice that can shift from gentle warmth to something breathtakingly commanding. Each performance becomes its own moment - lived, shared, and fleeting.
Annahstasia’s debut Australian tour is a celebration of an artist stepping into her full creative force.
