Výstava umělkyň Anny Rusínové a Agaty Popik v Holešovické šachtě tematizuje vnímání věcí a jejich hromadění v kontextu digitalizované společnosti, a také měnící se způsoby, jakými na ně nazíráme. Předměty již nejsou pouhými pasivními věcmi určenými k lidskému užití, ale promlouvají vlastním jazykem, který zrcadlí bitevní pole širších mocenských struktur a politických her. Jak mocné jsou věci, které užíváme? Jsou schopné pouhé předměty změnit pravidla hry?

Agata Popik (*1999) je vizuální umělkyně z Polska, která nyní tvoří a žije ve Varšavě. Ve svých nejnovějších dílech kombinujících kresbu, malbu a instalaci, vytváří především imaginární krajiny – podivné prostory s liminálním, přechodovým charakterem. Dlouhodobě se věnuje tématům, jež jsou spojeny s pocity zvláštního napětí a nejasného sdělení, které se dotýká podprahových emocí. Ve své umělecké praxi se rovněž věnuje vnímání hranic v různých kontextech, mezilidskému napětí, proměny či nespravedlnosti, které transformuje do tajemných městských krajin. Zajímá ji především způsob, jakým mohou obyčejné, každodenní předměty nebo situace vyvolávat neklid a tenzi. V roce 2025 absolvovala Fakultu grafiky na Akademii výtvarných umění ve Varšavě, kde obhájila diplomovou práci v ateliérech Błažeje Ostoj Lniskiego, Henryka Gostyńského a Wojciecha Bąkowského. Popik představila svá díla na samostatných výstavách, mezi něž patří Take Me Home v galerii Przeciąg ve Varšavě (2025) a Chances of sleep are fifty-fifty v galerii Próżnia ve Štětíně (2023). Zúčastnila se také skupinových výstav, jako jsou Think of Others, Think of Yourself v Muzeu moderního umění ve Varšavě (2025), Innocent Sorcerers v galerii Grey House v Krakově (2025) a Neue Stimmung v Městské galerii v Gdaňsku (2025).
Anna Rusínová (*1998) je česká šperkařka a vizuální umělkyně tvořící v Praze, která se pohybuje na hranici mezi volným uměním a designem. Její práce zahrnuje jak užitné předměty, tak volné objekty a umělecké instalace. Nejčastěji se autorsky vyjadřuje prostřednictvím stříbra, ačkoliv také pracuje se sklem a textiliemi. Některá její díla se pohybují na pomezí šperku a módní tvorby – jsou to unikátní hybridy, precizní ve své nedokonalosti, manifestující odpor k jemné šperkařině. Zkoumá, jak se proměňuje naše chápání objektů, jejich kulturně-společenská role a symbolická funkce v čase. Věnuje se mezilidským tématům jako je křehkost nebo zranitelnost. Absolvovala ateliér K.O.V. na pražské UMPRUM. Je jednou ze spoluzakladatelek spolku Fuga kolektiv, který sdružuje deset umělců a umělkyň na pomezí volného a užitého umění s aspirací hledání nových cest ke kooperativní prezentaci. Má za sebou skupinové výstavy La Vila Fuga (Galerie UM, 2026), Feastopia (Galerie Industra, 2025), Pipeline Dreams (Galerie FaVU, 2025), Crazy Fuga ve Spektrum galerii (2024), And her fingertips chose the one that was still rolling v Zaazrak|Dornych v Brně společně s Hanou Kubešovou a Kateřinou Houbovou (2024), Pipeline Dreams v Galerii FaVU (2025), I swapped my silk slippers for lead ones Galerii NIKA (2024).

The joint exhibition by Anna Rusínová and Agata Popik at Holešovická šachta explore the perception of objects and their accumulation in the context of a digitalized society, as well as the changing ways in which we view them. Objects are no longer merely passive things intended for human use, but speak their own language, which mirrors the battleground of broader power structures and political games. How powerful are the things we use? Are mere objects capable of changing the rules of the game?

Agata Popik (*1999) is a visual artist from Poland who currently lives and works in Warsaw. In her latest works, which combine drawing, painting, and installation, she primarily creates imaginary landscapes - strange spaces with a liminal, transitional character. She has long explored themes associated with feelings of peculiar tension and ambiguous communication that touch upon subliminal emotions. In her artistic practice, she also examines the perception of boundaries in various contexts, interpersonal tension, change, and injustice, which she transforms into mysterious urban landscapes. She is primarily interested in the way ordinary, everyday objects or situations can evoke unease and tension. In 2025, she graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she defended her thesis in the studios of Błażej Ostoj Lniski, Henryk Gostyński, and Wojciech Bąkowski. Popik has presented her work in solo exhibitions, including Take Me Home at Przeciąg Gallery in Warsaw (2025) and Chances of sleep are fifty-fifty at Próżnia Gallery in Szczecin (2023). She has also participated in group exhibitions such as Think of Others, Think of Yourself at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (2025), Innocent Sorcerers at Grey House Gallery in Kraków (2025), and Neue Stimmung at the Gdańsk City Gallery (2025).
Anna Rusínová (*1998) is a Czech jewelry designer and visual artist based in Prague who works at the intersection of fine art and design. Her work encompasses both functional objects and free-standing pieces, as well as art installations. She most often expresses herself artistically through silver, although she also works with glass and textiles. Some of her works straddle the line between jewelry and fashion - they are unique hybrids, precise in their imperfection, manifesting a resistance to delicate jewelry-making. She explores how our understanding of objects, their cultural and social roles, and symbolic functions change over time. She focuses on interpersonal themes such as fragility and vulnerability. She graduated from the K.O.V. studio at UMPRUM in Prague. She is one of the co-founders of the Fuga kolektiv association, which brings together ten artists working at the intersection of fine and applied arts, with the aim of exploring new avenues for collaborative presentation. Her group exhibitions include La Vila Fuga (UM Gallery, 2026), Feastopia (Industra Gallery, 2025), Pipeline Dreams (FaVU Gallery, 2025), Crazy Fuga at Spektrum Gallery (2024), And her fingertips chose the one that was still rolling at Zaazrak|Dornych in Brno together with Hana Kubešová and Kateřina Houbová (2024), Pipeline Dreams at the FaVU Gallery (2025), I swapped my silk slippers for lead ones at the NIKA Gallery (2024).
