Folk Noir artist Anna La Mare brings her 2026 debut headline tour to The Cave for one night — darker, fuller, and accompanied by a trio. Joining her is Carrboro multimedia artist Jad Khouri, whose poetry and rap cuts just as deep.

Haunting folk Americana threaded with Celtic, Appalachian, and jazz influences — as vulnerable as it is brave. With a ghostly, road-worn voice, La Mare (lah MAH-ray) sings the stories she's picked up in her travels, drawing you into a soundscape that's stormy, poetic, and impossible to shake. The trio arrangement pushes her folk noir further into the dark — fuller sound, deeper pull, same honest core.

A Carrboro-based multimedia artist working across poetry, short story, rap, and visual art. Through an intuitive practice rooted in grief, alienation, suffering, and hope, Khouri makes sense of being Palestinian-American in the heart of empire — and invites everyone in the room to sit with what that means.
