About this Event
Bassist Anna Butterss (Jeff Parker, Andrew Bird), drummer Ben Lumsdaine (Durand Jones, Walter Smith III) and trumpeter John Raymond (S Carey, Billy Hart) team up for a new project exploring and stretching the possibilities of improvisation, electronics and melody. Long-time friends and collaborators with shared roots in Bloomington, IN, the trio makes their LA debut ahead of recording their first album.
The Jazz Bakery is proud and excited to announce the launch of a special concert series on the east side of Los Angeles, presented at the beautiful and intimate Motivo LA in Atwater Village! The monthly six-concert series, curated by Daniel Rotem, will feature Los Angeles based artists, all creative forces to be reckoned with in the vibrant local music scene, performing boundary-pushing music that transcends the idioms of genre.
