The City of Galveston is proud to present resident artist Ann Wood’s Topiary Garden. This groundbreaking installation was the recipient of a $70,000 Cultural Arts Commission grant for public art in 2024. These 5 topiaries are a 5-year installation around the grounds of Kempner Park, the City of Galveston’s largest public greenspace. Originally a garden club, Garten Verein within Kempner Park is the perfect location for the official opening of this incredible installation. Come. Hear from the artist about her process, see some of her original sketches on display, and learn about the history of topiaries. Kick off Artwalk October 11th from 11am-2pm at the Garten Verein, 2704 Ave O.
