DB Productions is super excited to have arranged a last minute appearance in Napa of cajun music legend Ann Savoy of Eunice, Louisiana. Ann has offered to play a dance concert with her Cajun Dance Band “Ann Savoy and the Raggedy Ann Dance Band” on Friday August 26th. Although she has recorded on Arhoolie Records Ann rarely appears in the Bay Area. She is best known as part of the Savoy Doucet Cajun Band, the Magnolia Sisters, and the Savoy Family Band. She has recently recorded with Linda Ronstadt and completed a two volume book entitled “Cajun Music, a Reflection of a People”. She sings mostly in French, but also has recorded blues and jazz standards in English with Ann Savoy and her Sleepless Knights. Appearing with her will be well known Bay Area musicians Suzy and Eric Thompson. https://www.ericandsuzy.com/.
