---
From the New York Times bestselling duo of award-winning author Ann Patchett and Fancy Nancy illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser comes a special story about Estie and Ivan Vert, one an extrovert, one an introvert, two siblings who learn to celebrate and honor their differences.---
The Garden District Book Shop is thrilled to announce that the New York Times bestselling duo of award-winning author Ann Patchett and Fancy Nancy illustrator Robin Preiss Glasser will be at the shop September 25 to celebrate the release of their latest book, The Verts: A Story of Introverts and Extroverts.
The Verts is a heartfelt story about honoring our differences. The Vert family is celebrating a very special occasion: it’s Ivan’s birthday! And Estie knows that every birthday needs a great party, with lots of guests, party hats, and twinkling tin foil stars. Because that is what everyone wants on their birthday, right? But did Estie ever ask Ivan?
Patchett and Glasser will be at the shop beginning at 4:15 PM. The two will personalize copies of The Verts and mingle with guests. There will also be The Verts party hat craft for guests to make and decorate.
The event is open to the public but due to high demand the shop strongly encourages interested parties to reserve their copy of The Verts before the event. Books can be reserved on Eventbrite.
