Hi, everyone! We’re starting an animal rights book club! We’ll have our first meeting next week, and we’re planning to meet monthly after that.
When: Tuesday, September 9, 4:00–5:00 p.m.
Where: Forbes Library, Bak Study Room
We will be discussing the first half of Robin Wall Kimmerer’s book Braiding Sweetgrass, and focusing on what we can learn from it as animal rights advocates. This is a wonderful book, and offers valuable perspective to the animal rights and environmental movements. Bring you friends — especially those hoping to learn more about animal rights!
We are planning to have monthly book club meetings going forward, usually discussing a different book every month (though this one is split across two months since it’s fairly long). If you have additional book suggestions, please let me know!
Finally, if you are interested in attending but are unable to make it in person, please let me know and I can send you a Zoom link.
Hope to see you there! :)
