Animals have different characteristics that can be seen in folk practices, fairy tales, and mythology as well as in biological observations. What characteristics do you embody or want to embody? This can be a spiritual exploration or one of whimsy and playfulness, or both! You choose.
We will work in partners and instruct each other how to add the plaster to make a mold. A hand mold is a possible option if you would prefer not having something placed on your face. We will cover our hair with a plastic bag and use vaseline as a barrier to protect your face.
Bring towels and your preferred face wash if you would like for cleanup.
Wear clothes than can get messy.
Cost: $150
Estimated time will be 2 hours to make molds. Drying time will take several days. You can bring your mask back to paint during an open studio day or paint at home.
