On Thursday Sep. 26 at 6 p.m. Anhelo is pleased to host an intimate six-course dinner paired with wines from the Bordeaux region of France.
Bordeaux is one of the most well-known wine regions of the world with more than 6000 wineries 53 appellations and approximately 272000 acres of vineyards. It’s also one of the most confusing: What grapes make up the full-bodied red blends? How do you distinguish between a Left Bank and Right Bank varietal? What are the cru classifications of the region?
This experience will demystify Bordeaux wines. Anhelo’s Bordeaux expert — wine director and sommelier Ryan Ansell — will guide guests through an introduction of a minimum of five expertly chosen varietals from the Bordeaux region sharing his vast knowledge of the area’s vineyards and châteaus. Each bottle none of which are priced over $150 is masterfully paired with a delectable menu by Chef Ivan Jacobo.
