The creation of Dan Renton Skinner – a member of the Dutch Elm Conservatoire Sketch group – Angelos Epithemiou is the owner of a burger van who wants to break into show business.He got his break in 2009, when he became a permanent team member on the revival of Shooting Stars, replacing Johnny Vegas on Ulrika Jonsson’s Team B, before becoming the scorer.
Angelos was nominated for the breakthrough award and best sketch or character act at the 2010 Chortle awards. In 2012 he starred in his own Channel 4 series.
We have David Eagle opening the show. David is one of the funniest and most in-demand acts on the comedy circuit.
Being blind, his comedy often explores how his disability means the most ordinary, commonplace events are turned into surreal and convoluted dramas. Occasionally he dons his accordion (often as a spiteful repost to hecklers) and performs one of his comedy songs described by the Guardian as “a comic tour de force.“
He was crowned New Comedian Of The Year by Leicester Square Theatre in 2019 a year which also saw him win new act competitions at Bath Comedy Festival and Nottingham Comedy Festival, and has been nominated Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards.
