Join the Andy McGann Comhaltas branch as they present "You Have Lost America by the Irish": Irish and Irish-Americans in the American Revolution Through History and Music.
Could the American Revolution Have Been Won without their (Irish and Irish-American) participation? Come and Find Out!
This engaging program will present the important part the Irish and Irish-Americans played in the formation of America and its War of Independence from Great Britain! Historian and Comhaltas member Bill Devlin will explain the history via a Powerpoint presentation, with songs and music from the period presented by the musicians of our branch. Learn about the brave Irish and Irish-Americans who fought for our country's freedom, and the contributions they made to form America!
This program takes place on Saturday, May 9, 2026 starting at 3 pm, at the New Milford Public Library, 24 Main Street in New Milford, CT. All are welcome, and admission is free, but you must register through the library's event listing. Click the ticket link to do so!
