“What Is Your Name?” workshop — make conversation, make friends, make art!
About this Event
Want to make conversation in English, make friends with people of different cultures, and make art?
Come and make all three! In the first workshop, we’ll learn how to approach someone and chat in English – starting with how to pronounce their names. In the second, we’ll put this into practise by meeting new friends in their ‘mini living rooms’! In the last three, we’ll learn skills like composition and painting in acrylic, so you can turn inspirations from your new friends into your own piece of art – which will be exhibited!
Whatever your level of English or art, come join us to explore, practise, and have fun!
Instructor: Grace Tang (Hong Kong-born artist, recipient of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council’s Art Education Award, former Resident Artist at Lingnan University in Hong Kong)
嚟到英國，傾偈唔知點開口？社會咁多元，連人哋個名都唔識讀，點同唔同文化嘅人做朋友？成日想創作，但覺得自己冇「藝術天份」？
一連五節嘅工作坊，一次過滿足晒三個願望！第一節由淺入深，練習用英文傾偈；第二節學以致用，走進唔同族裔朋友嘅「迷你客廳」，飲個茶、食個包、傾下偈；第三至五節，學習構圖、塑膠彩等繪畫技巧，將之前收集嘅靈感，化為你嘅作品，最後仲有展覽添！
英文唔洗叻，畫畫唔洗識，由導師同義工陪你齊齊試，齊齊玩!
導師 ：Grace Tang（藝術家，生於香港，居英逾十年，曾獲香港藝術發展局頒發藝術教育獎、任嶺南大學駐校藝術家）
