Understanding Palestine Series started in March 2024 as a response to the growing interest among Australians in the Palestinian issue, and the limited resources in English about the history, literature and culture of Palestine.

The Series is organized and delivered by Yousef Alreemawi; one of Australia's leading experts in the history and culture of Palestine.

Since then, Yousef has delivered almost 40 lectures in Black Spark Cultural Centre in Northcote, and 10 lectures in Mama Chen in Foostcray. Additionally, he took the series to regional areas in Victoria such as Yarra Ranges and Daylesford, and interstate to Hobart and Adelaide.
