This event is a social gathering of friends. It will span well over 45 years of friendships throughout Alton,IL & St Louis,MO Metro Areas. I have always missed my early days of hanging out with friends at Cat Daddy's Tavern & Macs Time Out Lounge. The many other downtown Alton bars & restaurants were a gathering ground for all to enjoy each other's company after a hard days work. The weekend was always full of joy & excitement. I was definitely a "Barfly" at Cat Daddy's, along with about 30 others. We had our barstools we sat at. I was a regular upstairs around the pool table. The days of Jimmy,Jill & Bobby playing cassettes through the stereo & those Bose speakers blaring out the best 1980's classic rock & the best of the alternative music scene. I got to play some of my mix punk rock tapes periodically. These days were very special to me & I wanna remember these times with my friends. I will be setting up my own personal rack stereo system with about 6 speakers.These speakers are the monsters of the 1980's !!!! 15" Woofers !!!! I'm going to bring my old classic tower PA speakers with the blue, metallic, padded upholstery. They have 4 10" woofers in each one !!!! This is going to be an epic old school sound system !!!! Records,cassettes & CD's played at Maximum volume !!!! I'm going to set up a 6-8 microphone system for singing along with the classic 80's alternative music & the hardcore punk rock of the late 1970's & all throughout the 1980's with some early 1990's post punk tunes. You can bring your own material for playing. However, I will not be held responsible for your material. So be aware of the liability bringing your own material to an event. I will also be loading my own big screen concave TV for playing YouTube videos & music through it also. It is sometimes easier to just set up a playlist for such an event. This way I can enjoy the event as well. Mac has graciously given me the back room area for this event. The old bar area where he had a stage, dance floor & DJ back in the day. We all know this area. It is not open to the public. It is used for private events now. I'm going to charge $5 bucks for this event. Tickets will be bought through the Events.com website. This is the same outlet I used for my Alton,IL Hardcore Punk Reunion back in 2013. That was a fun event !!!! I hope this one is memorable as well for all of us. The proceeds from this event will go to several different charities. Depression, Suicide prevention, Alcohol addiction & many others that need support for our friends, family & all of the people in the entire world that suffer from these things. A GoFundMe will be set up as well to fund this event for extra donations. I will be keeping none of these funds. All funds for me to put on this event will be paid by myself.
