About this Event

Experience the Ultimate Tribute Show: "They're Simply The Best" Honoring 2 Legendary African American Women in Music for Cabaret Month. This debut Cabaret Show pays tribute to the iconic women who dominated the music scene in the '70s, '80s, and '90s with Blockbuster hits. Between them, they boast an impressive 17 Grammy Awards, with Donna Summer holding five, including Best Rock Vocal Performance, a rare achievement for a black female artist. Tina Turner, on the other hand, holds three Grammy Awards for the Hall of Fame and one for Lifetime Achievement.

Both legendary women have also made appearances in film, with Donna Summer starring in the 1978 movie 'Thank God It's Friday,' which launched the iconic song 'Last Dance,' and Tina Turner's autobiography-inspired movie 'What's Love Got to Do With It,' although she wasn't the actress portraying her, she did star in the Mad Max movies.

GM Productions presents a unique opportunity to experience the music of these two icons through the talents of three local New England female performers. Enjoy hits like 'Bad Girls,' 'Heaven Knows,' and 'MacArthur Park' by Donna Summer, and 'Private Dancer,' 'When the Heartache Gets Over,' and 'Golden Eye' by Tina Turner. If you're a fan of these legendary women, this show is not to be missed. Hosted by Gordon Michaels and the amazing Michael Larson on keyboards
