Join in for an epic all day group ride and adventure across some of the greatest roads the state of Arkansas has to offer (all in one day). This ride will be about tackling the "full" Dragon (Hwy123). Most people only really know of the Dragons "head" around Jasper. The reality is the tail of the Dragon actually starts down just northeast of Clarksville and travels up to the head in Jasper. This is an historic motorcycle route in Arkansas and has long been an earned "patch" for many riding clubs. It has been many years since I have completed this ride, as years ago it was chip and sealed and forgotten about by many riders, now people just know about the head which was untouched by the gravel. My hope is that the surface is now well worn in and suitable again for the type of riding that we do. The lower tail and body is mostly high speed switchbacks followed by hair pins and banked corners in the head. We will take the Pig Trail down to Kingston then 21 down to Clarksville for lunch and fuel. Then we will take the Dragon all the way back up to Jasper then west back home through Ponca to connect to 412 for a fast route back to civilization. This is a long all day ride that will truly test your riding endurance. Many will start, but few will finish the full 270+ mile ride. Only one question remains.... do you have what it takes to conquer the full Arkansas Dragon? All are welcome to join in for whatever portion of the ride you feel like completing and there are many places to stop and turn back until we finish lunch, but once we reach the Dragons Tail, there's no turning back. Get your bikes and bodies prepared for this epic Ozark riding experience. This is one of the two "huge" group rides we will do this year together. The other being Push Mountain Pass aka "The Sidewinder". You won't want to miss it, and it will be a ride and experience you remember forever!
