"The AI Doc or How I Became an Apocaloptimist" plays Friday, June 5, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at ISU's Bengal Theater. From the Academy Award-winning filmmakers behind "Everything Everywhere All at Once" and "Navalny," a father-to-be tries to figure out what is happening with all this AI insanity. What results is a hand-made, eye-opening documentary about the most powerful technology humanity has ever created and what's at stake if we get it wrong. "A scary, dizzying and essential documentary," writes Variety magazine, adding, "If you have any interest in artificial intelligence (which is to say: the future), you should go out and see it right now." (Rated PG-13) Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU staff/faculty and free for ISU students with a valid Bengal ID. For trailer and more information, go to www.isucinema.com/aidoc.
