We use slay when we want to say that something is done very very well or is impressive. And of course drag artists slay in every way! They are fierce, expressive, talented and not afraid to lift themselves up by saying they have slayed that performance- or that make up look!But what does it mean to slay together? (and we both know we are not talking about hunting!) Is it about the community surrounding drag- the artists and the audience? When we throw a good party and celebrate and support each other? Or is slaying together to stand up together against oppressive powers?
We asked drag artists from all over the world to apply with performances that encompass this year's festival motto “Slaying together” in different ways- and the results are in! With performers from Norway - and a special guest artist from the UK, this is going to be a celebratory, passionate glittery slayage of a show!
