About this Event

As a member of Kemper Museum, you are invited to a special preview of Second Nature: Photography in the Age of the Anthropocene, which brings together work by approximately 40 photo‑based artists from around the world to examine environmental change through contemporary photography. As the final venue for this traveling exhibition, Kemper Museum’s presentation offers a timely opportunity to reflect on the exhibition’s global scope.

As part of your preview experience, a conversation between co‑curator Marshall Price and artist Will Wilson will explore how photographers are responding to a shifting world, touching on themes of globalism, place, and interconnected futures. Opening remarks from Jessica May, Ph.D., Kemper Museum’s Executive Director and co‑curator, will frame the exhibition’s broader implications.

The night wraps up with a reception and additional time in the exhibition.
Registration is required and appreciated. Please check in upon arrival.
