
About this Event
Join us for a fun, informative, and experiential therapy training designed to empower clinicians with active and impactful therapeutic tools. Day One will introduce clinicians to the principles and techniques of role theory and method utilized in individual and group drama therapy practice; Day Two will build upon these concepts and explore the techniques of psychodramatic methods and empty chair work. This is an in-person and hgihly experiential training that can be used for clients across the lifespan, both in-person and virtually.

Info: -Lecture and discussion to introduce Drama Therapy Role Theory, its history and philosophy and analogous clinical practices
-Instruction on the role repertoire and how to conduct a role sort
-In vivo experiential role sort practice
-Small and full group demonstrations on storytelling interventions using role theory and method
-Small and full group demonstrations on how to apply improvisational practices using role theory and method.
-Class processing and discussion to metabolize the experiential learning and to compare and workshop alternative ways of applying methods across varied settings based on population and clinical need.
-Reflection, discussion, and integration

DAY TWO
Info: -Short Lecture and discussion to introduce psychodrama history, philosophy, and principles
