An explosive violin and piano program showcasing the incredible musical chemistry between Romanian-born violinist Daniela Bisenius and Nicaraguan jazz pianist Darwin Noguera. The program includes American and Latin American jazz standards, Argentinian Tango, as well as European fiery gypsy music! Experience the dynamic variety of piano/violin literature in this program.
“A duet with Daniela Bisenius leads to spotlighting the violinist's agile fluidity that is part Paganini-inspired virtuosity and part Tsigan-esque pyrotechnics.” This is how the jazz magazine All About Jazz described the Romanian- born Daniela Bisenius. At only 19, she has won the position with the Staatsphilharmonie Ludwigshafen, Germany. From then on, numerous orchestral engagements followed with some of the most prestigious symphony orchestras such as Munich Philharmonic, Frankfurter Staatsoper, to name a few.
In 1988 she came to the US and was offered full scholarship at University of Iowa, where she also appeared in a televised masterclass with Issac Stern. Even though she has a string classical background, Ms. Bisenius is also a very active jazz musician and she has shared the stage with artists such as Natalie Cole, Smokie Robinson, Kurt Elling, Luther Vandross to name a few.

“Noguera brings a sense of melody, phrasing, and emotion, that would only be expected from a performer many years his senior.”
