About this Event
On June 20-24, 2022, three female Nobel Peace prize laureates, Tawakkol Karman of Yemen, Jody Williams of USA, and Leymah Gbowee of Liberia, visited Krakow, Poland, and Lviv, Ukraine, to join Ukrainian women in their fight for peace, human dignity and independence.
Building on the laureates´ journey, the in partnership with the , and other international supporters, commissioned the documentary to reflect on the personal stories of female leadership and resilience of ordinary Ukrainian citizens who have also revealed themselves as outsanding fighters for peace, models of resilience, courage and humility.
This film is to pay tribute to those extraordinary women who are the bedrock of Ukrainian resilience in the ongoing war.
The screening is made possible by the kind support of Berlin Staatsoper and the Embassy of Ukraine in Berlin.
