Transferale: „Neues Bauen“: Nachhaltigkeit durch Kreislaufwirtschaft in Bau und Architektur
Die Bauindustrie hat einen erheblichen Einfluss auf die Umwelt. Allein in Deutschland ist sie für 38 Prozent der CO2-Emissionen verantwortlich und erzeugt beträchtliche 54 Prozent des landesweiten Abfallaufkommens. Der dringende Bedarf an Veränderungen ist deutlich, aber wie können wir eine nachhaltige Zukunft aufbauen? Wir laden Euch herzlich ein zu unserer Veranstaltung zum Thema „Neues Bauen“ im Rahmen des Wissens- und Transferfestivals Transferale, um uns gemeinsam dazu auszutauschen und vernetzen.

12:00 – 12:30 Einführung und Projektpräsentation (Teil 1)
"Ein Gebäudeleben" von Prof. Matthias Haber (BHT)
In Deutschland werden ca. 1,9 Mio. qm Wohnfläche pro Jahr und ca. 7,5 Mio. Nutzfläche abgerissen während die aktuelle Sanierungsquote nur bei 1-2% liegt. Die Bestrebungen des Bundes und der Bundesländer die Zielvorgaben der Klimaneutralität bis zu den jeweiligen Stichtagen 2040/45/50 zu erreichen, sind nur möglich durch den Umbau von Bestandsgebäuden, zum einen aufgrund der gespeicherten grauen Energie und zum anderen aufgrund der Ressourcenbedarfsreduzierung durch den Erhalt von Materialien und Bauteilen. Im Rahmen einer Kooperation mit der Stadt Potsdam konnten Studierende der BHT dies anhand von umgebauten Beispielen ehemaliger Kasernengebäude veranschaulichen. Das Projekt „Ein Gebäudeleben“ zeigt anschaulich die Qualitäten der Wiederverwendung von Gebäuden auf.
12:30 – 13:00 Neues Bauen: Pioneer Cases - Entdeckung neuer Wege des Bauens (Teil 2)
Das CRCLR House ist ein 3.500 m² großer Gemeinschaftsraum auf dem Gelände der ehemaligen Kindl-Brauerei im Berliner Stadtteil Neukölln. Die Entwicklung des Areals wurde vom Team des CRCLR in enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Edith Maryon Stiftung initiiert. Die Prinzipien der Kreislaufwirtschaft leiteten sowohl den Zweck als auch den Prozess des CRCLR-Hauses, zu dem auch die Wiederverwendung von Holz und Ziegeln aus dem bereits bestehenden Lagerhaus und der Betrieb mit 100 Prozent erneuerbarer Energie gehören.
13:15 – 14:00 Uhr Neues Bauen: Podiumsdiskussion – Einblicke in die Industrie und die Rolle der Pionier:innen beim Übergang zum Kreislaufbau (Teil 3)
Was können die verschiedenen Akteur:innen in der Bauindustrie von Pionierbeispielen lernen? Wie können wir eine sektorübergreifende Zusammenarbeit schaffen, um den Übergang zum Kreislaufbau zu beschleunigen? Nehmen Sie an einer Podiumsdiskussion mit Planenden, Bauunternehmer:innen, politischen Entscheidungsträger:innen und Pionier:innen der Branche teil.
14:15 – 15:30 Neues Bauen: TRIVIAL CIRCUIT – Pädagogisches Brettspiel zum Thema Kreislaufwirtschaft im Bauwesen (Teil 4)
Was sind die Herausforderungen des zirkulären Bauens? In dem pädagogischen Brettspiel TRIVIAL CIRCUIT haben Sie die Möglichkeit, gemeinsam in kleinen Teams die Antworten darauf zu finden und gleichzeitig Ihren Wissenstand um das Thema nachhaltiges Bauen im Bestand zu erweitern.

The construction industry has a significant impact on the planet. In Germany alone, it accounts for 38% of CO2 emissions and generates a staggering 54% of the country's waste. The urgent need for change is clear, but how do we build a sustainable future? Introduction and project presentation (Part 1)
‘A Building's Life’ by Prof. Matthias Haber (BHT)
In Germany, approx. 1.9 million square metres of living space per year and approx. 7.5 million square metres of usable space are demolished, while the current renovation rate is only 1-2%. The efforts of the federal government and the federal states to achieve the climate neutrality targets by the respective deadlines of 2040/45/50 are only possible through the conversion of existing buildings, on the one hand due to the stored grey energy and on the other hand due to the reduction in resource requirements through the preservation of materials and components. As part of a cooperation with the city of Potsdam, BHT students were able to illustrate this using converted examples of former barracks buildings. The ‘A Building's Life’ project clearly demonstrates the qualities of reusing buildings.

Neues Bauen: Pioneer Cases - discovering new ways of building (part 2)

The CRCLR House is a 3,500 m² community space on the site of the former Kindl brewery in Berlin's Neukölln district. The development of the site was initiated by the CRCLR team in close collaboration with the Edith Maryon Foundation. Circular Economy principles guided both the purpose and process of CRCLR House, which included reusing the timber and bricks from the pre-existing warehouse and running on 100% renewable energy.
