Join us in the garden to celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month and highlight the importance of mushrooms in Asian and AANHPI culture.
About this Event

This special event features a guided “drop in and draw” mushroom drawing session, a "discovery" display of mushrooms common in Asian cuisine and medicine, and a one-hour mini-foray (walk) around the garden and neighborhood to discover the fungi hidden in plain sight in our everyday urban spaces. Walk led by mycologist Wilton Rao. Event led by artist Maya Han.
Event is open to all ages and beginners are welcome. Free with garden admission. Registration is not required but recommended. In the event of inclement weather, we will move indoors for a special mycology lecture.
This project is supported by Asian American Arts Alliance.
Drawing 12-2pm; Garden Walk 1-2pm (walk capacity is limited to 25 max and first come, first served)
