Over the years Guide Dogs have delivered a wide range of services to support people of all ages who live with a vision impairment. The organisation is probably best known for the breeding and training of assistance dogs and in this talk we aim to demonstrate the work of staff and volunteers by showing how Daisy went from a cute eight week puppy to a working guide dog to a retired family pet. Susan will also talk about the impact of Covid on the work of guide dogs and introduce some of the ways technology is transforming the lives of those living with sight loss. There will be opportunity to answer questions and to interact with Daisy if you wish.
