“KING OF DIAMONDS” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY CONTINUES TO ROCK THE “MODERN SHOWROOMS” AT ALEXIS PARK HOTEL WITH REVISED 2026 SCHEDULEAs the successes of the Broadway musical, “A Beautiful Noise”, and the recent acclaimed motion picture, “Song Sung Blue”, continue to solidify Neil Diamond and his prolific catalog of music in the cornerstone of American pop and rock music culture, Las Vegas tribute artist Rob Garrett continues to keep the icon’s live performance legacy alive for audiences worldwide.
After Diamond announced his retirement from performing in January 2018 due to his Parkinson’s diagnosis, Garrett expanded his three-decade mission to preserve and celebrate the songs that have touched generations.
For the past 3 years he has performed the only ongoing, continuous, Neil Diamond tribute residency show in the world at Alexis Park All Suite Hotel in Las Vegas.
Born in Brooklyn like Diamond, Garrett moved to Las Vegas in 1974 and attended Diamond’s July 1976 Las Vegas debut. That show sparked a lifelong admiration and led him to see Diamond live 16 more times, including Diamond’s final U.S. concert in 2017. After 15 years fronting the cover band “Rock n Roll Heaven”, he transitioned to a dedicated Neil Diamond tribute.
In 1995, Paul Revere of the Raiders hired him to portray Diamond in Legends in Concert in Honolulu, where a three-month trial became a three-year run.
After returning to Las Vegas in 1998, Garrett built his own solo Neil Diamond tribute show that eventually earned him the moniker “King of Diamonds.”
In December 2025, Travelmarketreport.com named his production “Best Tribute Show in Las Vegas”.
On May 19, 2024, Mayor Carolyn Goodman proclaimed “Rob Garrett Day” to honor his 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Las Vegas performer. As of 2026, he celebrates over 45 years as a Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 31 devoted exclusively to honoring Diamond.
With live musicians, Garrett delivers the closest thing to the real Neil Diamond experience for fans today. From national tours and awards to a mayoral proclamation and a steady Las Vegas residency, he has turned deep fandom into a professional vocation that keeps Neil Diamond’s music alive for live audiences.
Garrett and band perform each Saturday, Sunday, Monday, & Wednesday at 9 PM in the “Modern Showrooms” located at Alexis Park All Suite Resort Hotel, 375 E. Harmon Ave., (1/4 mile west of Paradise Road).
