Info: In honor of Jackie Robinson Day, Bedstuy Sluggers, 360 Academic Sports Academy, and Brooklyn Community Board 3 are bringing together key voices in baseball to discuss the challenges and opportunities in developing African-American youth talent from grassroots programs to professional careers. This panel will explore the structural, financial, and cultural factors that impact the journey from Little League to college baseball and, ultimately, to the Major Leagues.
We aim to foster meaningful dialogue while identifying actionable strategies to increase participation and support for African-American youth in baseball. Panelists will share insights, experiences, and potential solutions to ensure that the next generation of athletes has equitable access to opportunities in the sport.
