ACAP Winston-Salem is hosting a free, in-person educational program titled "How to Have Difficult Conversations with Aging Parents" on Tuesday, November 19 at 5:30pm at the Highland Presbyterian Church Activity Building in Winston-Salem, NC.Prepare for critical conversations with aging parents about legal, financial, driving, and independent living issues. Our program equips adult children with essential communication skills to reduce uncertainty, manage conflict, and ensure comprehensive planning. Gain confidence with practical guidance and support.
PROGRAM PRESENTER:
Kim Wilson
Kim earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Toledo. She is a compassionate and dedicated mental health therapist specializing in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and grief counseling (certified by David Kessler). As a Level 2 IFS therapist, Kim integrates these powerful therapeutic modalities into her practice to help women in their 20s through 90s navigate life’s transitions and challenges.
