Hi Girls! I’m Barbara Portto—fashion designer, creative director, and self-proclaimed shoe obsessive. I’m launching a new passion project, and I want you to be part of the very first edition.

Welcome to the exclusive trial run of GOD SAVE THE SHOES: a limited-capacity workshop where we fight footwear waste and unlock your inner designer.

The Concept: Bring that pair of heels, mules, flats, or boots you were ready to toss out. Instead of letting them contribute to "landfill guilt," we’ll spend an afternoon giving them a high-end, custom makeover. No more settling for store-bought designs—it’s time for something one-of-a-kind.

The Experience:

• Where: A beautiful, curated space in Manhattan.
• The Tools: I’ll provide premium materials and professional tools. This edition features an incredible variety of upcycled leather in different colors and textures.
• The Process: We’ll start at the "Shoe Template," where you can sketch your vision either before or after exploring our material library. You’ll have the freedom to cut the leather into custom shapes and play with various textures to build your unique look.
• The Vibe: Creative therapy, design inspiration, and great conversation with a small group of like-minded women. You’ll have 3 hours to fully immerse yourself in the creative flow.

The Transformation: The "Before & After" is the most exciting part! You’ll walk away with a pair of shoes that tells a story—your story.
