About this Event
Speak Woman Speak & Butterfly in the Head present “From the oppression that inhabits me to the expression that activates me” with Cláudia Simone.
Based on the Aesthetics of the Oppressed, where the “act of transforming is transformative”, with the use
of clay, we will experience the sensation of transforming internalized oppressions into something concrete,
strengthening critical awareness, self-expression, enabling the symbolic representation of
mechanisms of oppression existing in society, to reinvent other ways of acting in
society.

Clàudia is a Black woman with experience in Europe, Latin America, and Africa, was born in Volta Redonda, in the interior of Rio de Janeiro, in 1967.
