Please join the First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir along with the Providence Methodist Church Choir in presenting Joseph Martin’s ”Festival of Carols”. The performance will be on Sunday, December 14, at 6:00 p.m. in the sanctuary at First Baptist Church.“Festival of Carols” invites us to come celebrate Christmas with rich carols and beautiful new songs. It is based on a traditional Lessons and Carols format, which includes nine Scripture lessons along with music to reflect the reading. This work references over 20 carols in delivering the message of redemption and the birth of
God’s promised Son. Carols new and old are wrapped up in beautiful arrangements, readings, and wonderful instrumental orchestrations.
It is the hope of both FBC’s music ministry and the music ministry of Providence Methodist Church that this music presentation serves as a poignant reminder of God’s love for all of us. We pray that you will enjoy this retelling of the Christmas story in songs and readings and that the spirit of Christmas will follow you throughout this season.
