About this Event
Join us for an informative talk in our lead up to the grand opening reception of Zero Empty Spaces (Natick Mall) during Boston Design Week.
1pm - 1:30pm
Speaker: Kevin Baldwin - Visual Artist/Saxophonist/Composer
Location: "The Vibe" area Outside Of Zero Empty Spaces location in The Natick Mall (Neiman Marcus Wing)
Music is visual. A composer writes symbols on a page, interpreted by performers. An improviser reiterates familiar sounds and shapes and imagines structures mentally. Color, line, layers, space, and motion may have a different connections to different mediums or individuals. Where, then, does the intersection lay when those concepts are both visual and audible?
Attendees can hang around the mall to join the Zero Empty Spaces (ZES) management team and resident artists as we celebrate the Grand Opening of our 23rd affordable artist studio location - our first outside of the state of Florida in The Natick Mall on Saturday, May 7th from 5:00pm - 8:00pm (with a Ribbon Cutting ceremony at 6PM).
Zero Empty Spaces (ZES) a rapidly growing affordable artist studio/vacancy management company that creates affordable artist studios in vacant spaces around the country where artists can create and collaborate at an affordable price. The concept expands the appreciation of all genres of art and helps to create a thriving cultural community in the cities surrounding each location.
