Dr. Felipe Chavez-Ramirez, has a Ph.D. and MSc degrees in Wildlife Ecology from Texas A&M University, College Station and a BS in Biology and Wildlife Management from Sul Ross State University in Alpine Texas. Currently he is the Natural Science Coordinator at Pawnee Nation College. His research has focused on ecology and conservation issues including North American Cranes especially Whooping Crane, Sandhill and Cuban Sandhill Crane. Dr. Felipe Chavez-Rameriz's presentation will include all aspects of the breeding, migration and overwintering of the beautiful Sandhill Crane. Meetings are free and open to the public. Social time begins at 6:30 pm with the program beginning at 7:00 pm.
