Discover the art of movement, connection, and creativity in this immersive Contact Improvisation workshop 💫🍀
🌿 What to Expect:
During the workshop we will explore the practice of contact improvisation, by increasing the deep feeling of our skin and one could say dancing under the skin. We will sharpen our senses of proprioception and kinesthetic awareness, which will allow us to move with greater precision and sensitivity.
This deep connection with the body will allow us to be able to listen better to ourselves and others. But also to manage our body in order to lift, and be lifted. We will work on and establish principles of tensegrity model and fascia to create stable and mobile body for underdancer as well as the overdancer.
For me (Pawel), contact improvisation is a constant game, discovering myself, partners and the environment, through senses.
No prior dance experience required – just an open mind and willingness to move!
This workshop is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate and advanced dancers that will be able to deepen their way of understanding dance and improvisation.

After graduating Academy of Physical Education and Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, Paweł has been working in the fields of performing arts in Holland, Belgium and Poland as a dancer and performer for several years. And has been teaching contact imporovisation, improvisation and movement related forms already 14 years. He has been teaching weekend workshops and intensives in Portugal, Poland, Germany, Holland and Moldavia...
His sport background had a big impact on his way of moving and teaching where improvisation is intertwined with technique and fun. For him, it is important to combine both techniques and improvisation. Using the techniques to improve and widen the ability to improvise and play.
Paweł has a specific and organic way of working, with a lot of playfulness, spontaneity, creating environment for people to learn and adapt to constantly changing situations, which allows them to nourish their true potential.
His work is influenced by fighting monkey practise, martial arts, contact improvisation, tai chi.
