Featuring lush romantic melodies, charming show pieces, and virtuosic showstoppers. An ode to the popular intimate 19th century European salon concerts that showcased musicians and cultivated a vibrant classical music scene.
Music will include Elgar’s Salut d’Amour composed as a love song to his fiance; Sarasate’s Playera - a sultry Spanish dance; Massenet’s gorgeous Meditation from the opera Thais, and Monti’s fiery Czardas, as well as lesser known gems in a variety of styles.

Kathleen Covalt
is a chamber musician who has performed in the U.S. and Europe. She is a former first violinist with the Rochester Symphony Orchestra, a member of the C-O-X Trio, and a recipient of multiple Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council grants. She holds a Violin Performance degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and teaches at her KML Violin Studio in Rochester, MN.
Dr. Tianyao Xie
holds D.M.A. and M.M. degrees in Piano Performance from Boston University. An active pianist, she performs regularly as a soloist and collaborator with musicians and composers internationally. She is the pianist of the C-O-X Trio and has extensive experience working with chamber ensembles, instrumentalists, vocalists, and choirs, as well as teaching and arts administration.
