"Chronicling the Fight: Art & Photography of the Civil War"Saturday April 11, 2026 at Davis and Elkins College Senate Commons in the Myles Center for the Arts.
Rich Mountain Battlefield Foundation's Symposium is coming soon! This annual conference brings together exciting scholarship and experienced historians to deepen our understandings of the Civil War. This year's theme, "Chronicling the Fight: Art & Photography of the Civil War," will explore how the war was made visual to those far from the battlefields of West(ern) Virginia, and how depictions of wartime were irrevocably changed by photography. See you there!
