Come celebrate Christmas In Ridgecrest with The Desert Community Orchestra
The Desert Community Orchestra performs its annual Christmas In Ridgecrest concert, Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at the Burrough High School Parker Performing Arts Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The orchestra’s selections will include everyone’s favorite Christmas tunes as well as Bizet’s L’Arlesienne Suite No. 1, and Fantasia on a Theme Greensleeves. Bugler’s Holiday is also featured with a trumpet trio with Del Allin, Brian Cosner, and Donnel Dunlap. Leopold Mozert’s Toy Symphony will feature the DCO percussion section as soloists playing some interesting ‘toys.” The orchestra will also be joined by the Ridgecrest Masterwork Chorale, directed by Jordan Covert; the Ridgecrest Youth Symphony directed by Bree Lewis, and The High Desert Pipers, a flute choir.
Amy McGuire, from Bakersfield, will be conducting Christmas In Ridgecrest. After 40 years in education and violin performance, Amy is focusing on orchestral conducting and we are excited to work with her!
Concert general admission is $10, student/military $5, under 7 years and military in uniform free. Tickets will be available on eventbrite.com, at Red Rock Books, and at the door.
