Director- Nawajesh Ashraf Easad.
Time- 1st Show at 5:30 PM and 2nd Show at 7:30 PM.
Venue: Main Auditorium, National Theatre hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
About the Play-
Samuel Beckett’s "Endgame" serves as a core element of the "Chamber of Being" festival. Staged within a confined room symbolizing a devastated world, the play utilizes the tenets of Absurd Theatre to confront the audience with the limitations and inherent emptiness of human existence. Through the characters of Hamm, Clov, Nagg, and Nell, the performance explores the tension between control and the thirst for freedom, prioritizing physical language, silence, and repetition over traditional dialogue. By employing strategic lighting and shadow within the Main Hall of the Jatiya Natyashala, the production aims to immerse viewers in a psychological and philosophical meditation on the uncertainty of life and death.
Day 02 : Sunday| April 26, 2026
Drma 02 - Baddhovumi (Based on Jean-Paul Sartre's Morts sans sépulture)

Translator- Masud Karim
Director- Nahid Nirob.
Time- 1st Show at 5:30 PM and 2nd Show at 7:30 PM.
Venue: Main Auditorium, National Theatre hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
About the Play-
The play "Baddhovumi," directed by Nahid Nirob and based on Jean-Paul Sartre’s Morts sans sépulture, is a harrowing exploration of resistance and moral sacrifice during World War II. Following five French resistance fighters captured in an attic, the narrative centers on a brutal psychological and physical struggle as they protect their leader’s identity from Nazi captors. The story reaches a tragic peak when the youngest member is killed by his own companions to prevent a betrayal, and another commits suicide to avoid breaking under torture. Despite an ultimate attempt to deceive the enemy with a false confession, the remaining three survivors are executed after the guards break their word.
Day 3: Monday | April 27, 2026
Drma 03 - The Zoo Story
Playwright.- Edward Albee
Director- Pallob Kumar Biswas.
Time- 1st Show at 5:30 PM and 2nd Show at 7:30 PM.
Venue: Main Auditorium, National Theatre hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
About the Play-
Edward Albee’s "The Zoo Story" serves as a powerful exploration of social isolation and the desperate need for human connection. The play unfolds in New York's Central Park, where a volatile stranger named Jerry intrudes upon the peaceful life of Peter, a settled publishing executive. Through a series of unsettling stories and escalating tensions, Jerry forces Peter into a raw, existential confrontation that strips away the facade of middle-class security. This intense two-character drama highlights the tragic difficulty of communication in a modern, alienated world.
