About this Event
Executive Produced by David Gordon Green, BURT is about a 70-year-old street musician with Parkinson’s, who has his life turned upside down when Sammy, a wayward young man from New York, shows up claiming to be his son. Having always dreamed of being a father, Burt embraces Sammy and invites him to stay for the weekend at his home, where he lives with his grumpy landlord, Steve.
Inspired by the real-life of Burt Berger, who stars in the film alongside actor Oliver Cooper (Project X, Red Oaks, Mindhunter); this deeply funny and inspirational movie is a love letter to Burt, his music, and the filmmaker’s own father, who also lives with Parkinson’s Disease.
We will be donating a portion of all the ticket sales to a Parkinson's foundation!
Both filmmakers in attendance are from Ohio as well as executive producer and Cincinnati's own Sam Ochstein!
