Our highlight performance, Beautiful Blisters: An Evening of Stories & Poetry, features five extraordinary Black women who’ve bonded over weeks of writing together. They’ll share stories about love, loss, joy, and resilience—everything that makes us human, presented in raw and powerful ways.

Behind the Scenes
This event is curated by Bevali McKenzie, who has been facilitating writing groups for several years, working tirelessly to bring out the best in individuals. Bevali focuses on encouraging people to open up and get their voices heard. Her passion for community-based productions has seen her direct and produce several projects in schools and collaboration with renowned venues such as the Bernie Grant Arts Centre, Alexandra Palace, and Bruce Castle Museum.
