About the play:Aria's is a warm and tender comedy that explores how change affects our lives. Aria's restaurant owner and widow, Marie, struggles to keep the family business afloat and live her own life after her husband’s unfortunate—though comic—death. Little Mike, Marie’s son, deals with an emptiness that he is still too young to fully articulate. Bill, a stranger in town, rethinks his life after suddenly being dumped by his wife. Jake, Marie’s sister, questions her vagabond lifestyle as she realizes excitement is not a synonym for fulfillment. The characters wrestle with plans for an uncertain future - and a trio of low-life villains - against a backdrop of urban redevelopment. Will they find happiness after all at Aria's?
