Whether you’re stopping by to chat with the author, shop the shelves, or simply soak in the cozy vibes, we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
📚 Pre-order Among Wildflowers through Eventbrite or directly through The Well Red Damsel’s website. Copies will be available for purchase the night of, while supplies last.

About Among Wildflowers:
Among Wildflowers is a heartwarming, laugh-out-loud romantic
comedy about finding home, falling hard, and the unexpected
magic of small-town charm. It's about second chances, discovering
who you are when everything you thought defined you is gone, and
realizing that sometimes the life you didn't plan for is exactly the
one you needed.
She had it all. Then she lost it all. Now she's stuck in a town where designer
heels sink into the dirt.
At 28, Alison “Ali” Bennet has spent her life being told she’s impulsive
and reckless—a volatile mix with the wealth she grew up with. After a
public firing, breakup, and social collapse leave her broke and
humiliated, Ali escapes (okay, flees) Chicago for Lakeside, Wisconsin,
where her late grandmother’s cabin offers a place to disappear and
regroup.
To her surprise, Lakeside’s quirky locals embrace Ali—including Dr. Jake
Elliot, the town’s golden-boy veterinarian. Jake is as steady and rooted
as Ali is spontaneous and unmoored. Convinced she must change to be
worthy of love, Ali pushes the open-to-love Jake away despite their
undeniable chemistry. But when her former employer threatens to buy up
Lakeside, Ali proposes a counter-campaign to protect the town and the
town assigns Jake to help. Working together only deepens their
connection and fuels the romantic tension.
As Ali takes root in Lakeside, building trust, friendships, and a deepening
connection with Jake, she finally feels herself bloom. But when her
former employer retaliates and Jake’s ex returns, Ali must decide whether
to keep pruning herself out of fear—or risk growing fully into the love,
purpose, and belonging she’s found.
