The UAA Cheer and Dance team has invited Tundra Caravan from Fairbanks to come and put on a fun, and exciting Belly Dance workshop in Anchorage! We are so excited to be fusing these two groups together and join hands through dance to make lasting connections in the dance communities in Fairbanks and Anchorage!
So come one, come all and get your shimmy on with Tundra Caravan and UAA Cheer and Dance Team!
This is an all ages event!
Kids, teens, young adults, students, parents, grandparents, we want to shimmy with all of you!

💰Cost: Pay what you can-donation only
During the workshop Tundra Caravan dancers will teach some basic Belly Dance moves to use at the end of the workshop to put together a short mini choreography!
Participants of the workshop will be invited to join UAA Cheer and Dance Team and Tundra Caravan for a performance of the choreography learned at the workshop during the Rage City Roller Derby half time show that evening!
*Roller Derby Half Time show information will be given out at the work shop to those that want to participate.
👚👕 What to wear: you can Belly Dance in anything! We want you to be comfortable while you dance. We recommend wearing flexible, breathable, clothing such as gym clothes, or yoga clothes! You can even come in your pajamas if you want! As long as you can move freely and be comfortable that’s what matters the most!
🧦👟 Shoes: We recommend either wearing socks or going bare foot while dancing but understand this isn’t for everyone! If you need to wear something on your feel we recommend a clean pair of non marking shoes that don’t get worn outside. We need to respect the floor of where we will be dancing and want to keep it nice for the people after us.
